On Saturday 27 April 2019 we had the privilege to be part of a very romantic wedding at Kiekies en Konfetti hosted by Arne And Mariska Lombard. Although the rain in Potchefstroom only calmed down on Thursday, this couple was determined to make their special day the dream day that they always been dreaming off, and it was for sure Mission Completed.
Their DIY modern vintage wedding was filled with personal touches and handcrafted items around every corner.
The service was held under willow trees with the sound of birds filling the air. And then came the big moment, the bride arrived and walked thru two wooden doors that were hand made by her father. As she was walking towards her groom Can’t help falling in love by Kina Grannis was playing in the background. The service proceeded and they pledge their undying love to each other with custom vows that were from the heart. After the service, the bride and groom walked out on Ek is ryk by Adam Tas to where their guests were waiting to congratulate them with paper heart confetti.
While the guest had snacks in the garden the bride and groom headed off to have their special day captured on photos and when they returned they entered the reception on The one by Kodaline with a choreographed dance leaving their guests speechless with their dance moves.
Dinner was served, speeches were made and the new Mr & Ms. Lombard was ready to get the party started. First up was the bride and her dad that shared a special moment on the perfect father-daughter wedding dance, Daddy’s angel. Then it was the turn of the groom and his mum on the perfect mother-son wedding dance, A mothers song. The bride and groom then took the dance floor with So lank sal ek jou life hê by Jay with their guest following soon and this was the start of a party that lasted till midnight.
